- Crisis Event Response and Recovery Access (CERRA)
CERRA is a nationwide Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Emergency Services Sector (ESS) effort to establish a standardized approach for access before, during, and after disasters and events. This effort was created using a bottom-up approach, where the local jurisdiction controls their own Access Program that is interoperable nationwide. This Access Program simply allows a jurisdiction to define various events (Ex. Tornado), and then manage access using a formatted Access Pass that works nationwide across all CERRA jurisdictions. The CERRA effort is beginning its outreach in 2018 and currently has 6 states and over 35 local jurisdictions committed to becoming CERRA Jurisdictions in 2019. - Department of Homeland Security
